Cartesian Printer – Progress

Was set back with this project a few weeks, other stuff got in the way. But steaming ahead now. Designing it bit by bit, going over every important detail. Cable chain is implemented to ensure tidy cable management. For each end of the cable chain, 3D printed cable chain mounts are utilized. A sturdy y-axis gt2 belt tensioner was designed. The tensioner is designed to be very sturdy and the gt2 clamping as reliable as possible. The dual plate y -axis motor mount has been extended out to make room for bolt heads. I will be going ahead with the heat-bed leveling system which is made from laser cut aluminium plates. I am not convinced using 3d parts in contact with the heatbed is a reliable option even though a range of printers do this. More to come.
