P3STEEL BUILD LOG

Decided to get build myself a 3d printing workhorse. I was tired of constantly using the same printer to 3d print parts for itself. This is a pain for prototyping were you need to keep trying new design pieces to see if they work in real life. To many of my 3d printer forays into building 3d printer’s failed due to inadequate printed parts and so on. Anyhow the workhorse platform i choose is the P3STEEL. It is a varient of the extremely common i3 prusa. But the main frame of the printer consists of laser-cut 3mm steel bolted together. It is very rigid and heavy which is perfect. This should give better quality prints. I ordered with the P3STEEL igus linear bearings. These are polymer bearings. I cant really comment on how good they are yet. Still going to use the e3d lite, which has proven to be very reliable. New cama caliente mk2b heatbed board which is manufactured in Europe. Hopefully decent too.

All in all coming together nicely. Till next time.
